A key element of our social impact strategy is to improve quality of life and wellbeing of society. we work collaboratively with partners to design and deliver programs that aim to develop new opportunities that improve employability and quality of life in communities where we operate.
Recently at SIMBA CEMENT we had the honour of hosting Hon. Dr. Batilda Burian, the Tanga Regional Commissioner, whose dedication to development and community empowerment is truly inspiring. Hon Dr. Batilda and our colleagues from Germany explored our operations, met the teams, and saw firsthand the sustainability measures we’re implementing on the ground.
As part of our ongoing commitment to community impact, we proudly donated electric tuktuks (Bajaji) to support women and youth initiatives in the Tanga Region.
For many in our communities, a tuktuk (Bajaji) is more than transport; it’s a step towards independence, job creation, and a greener way to move. It’s a reflection of what we stand for: working together within our teams and with our communities to build a more sustainable future.
We empower women to drive change in their families and communities, advancing gender equality and inclusive economic growth. Our diverse programs include education, health, technical skills, entrepreneurship, and employability training.
